This time it was my aunt-in-law! After the previous attempt, we had warned a lot of people to be extra careful.... never would I thought it would happen in my family again and in such a short time too!
This happened last week on a weekday, my aunt-in-law was just returning home from doing her morning marketing with her daughter (in SS2, Petaling Jaya). They saw 3 men walking towards them and felt suspicious. These men then approached them and asked for road directions so my aunt-in-law thought they were lost and let her guard down... this was when one of them strike! He suddenly took out a knife and slashed my aunt-in-law! Her daughter (who was holding the groceries) threw the groceries at the guy and got slashed too...
Luckily, there were some men nearby and they saw what happened and shouted and that scared the 3 men off.... before they could grab anything valuable... My aunt-in-law had to go for stitches but she's doing fine now...
So, dear friends, please do be careful ya...

Sounds scary to me.Hope they are doing fine now.I will never talk to stanger and it's hard for us to be nice to plp.
It's scary sometimes to think about these things.
You don't help strangers, people will say you're a snob and rude.
You be nice to people, then these sort of things will happen to you.
Haih...
the robbery cases is so serious now, it's better to be extra careful
wen: they were back fr SS2 market and were around the housing area, where its quieter (most people went to work)... ya, luckily wound not that serious...
tammy: yes, they are alright now.. er, not to give you the wrong impression.. Malaysia's not dangerous, think they were trying trying their luck.. :-)
sweetiepie: ya, which is such a pity ya.. what if they were genuinely asking for directions..sigh..
nadlique: haha! you nailed it!!
hazel: ya... pls take care too..
OMG! This things is really happening very often now especially on a broad day light. 5 years ago I also got attempted robbery but nothing was lost and I was hurt too. But during those days, the robbers would usually does it alone or with just one accomplice. Now the usually does it in group of 3 or more!
Whether people are genuine asking for help or not, I think it just boils down to us having to judge from our own girl's instinct out there. Just be extra careful and allert when you see strangers approaching.
scary!!! I must think about bringing a long umbrella, or a small pepper spray with my keys at hand, or bring someone with very high shrieking voice (which I don't have...lol)
hmmm, i must invest in a pepper spray for my own safety, and lots of prayers
That place is fast becoming a haven for crime ... and to think SS2 was such a nice place to be in years ago ...sighhhh ...
luckily there are some other people saw that!
most of the robbery cases happen in KL, so scare to know it. we must be careful when we go out..

thanks for the valuable info. messages like this are always more effective because it happened to someone we know, sad it is.
i do hope your relatives are healing well. at least an umbrella will make a good defence weapon in future.

nowadays want to help people also need to think twice, we don't know whether they are good or bad one.
