Anyway, I went for the machine test and ultrasound last Saturday.
First was the machine test. I passed the ECG and lung's tests \^o^/ But am osteopenia. They got me to put my feet, one at a time into a machine that presses onto my foot to calculate my feet's bone mineral density and it was below normal. So time to increase my calcium intake and get some exercise (as if taking care of two active kids are not enough!) and morning sunlight (for Vit K)...
Then it was ultrasound and consultation. During the ultrasound, it was slightly painful when she pressed onto the middle of my rib cage, the place where gastric pain and heart burns are. Then she asked me if I had a history of gallstones. My heart sank. I looked over to the monitor and looked at where she was pointing. Initially, I saw only 1 small stone :-D but then she pointed to the whole white colored area at the bottom of the gallbladder and I suddenly shivered. She told me it was quite a lot of small stones, so small and many that she could not measure the size. When I asked her if it was serious, she said yes... if it get inflamed and if the stones get dislodged and travels down to the duct and blocked it :-(
When I asked her what are my options, she told me that I could choose some method where I drink some stuff and tried to have the stones washed out but it may recur. She said she would recommend me to have my gallbladder removed. I didn't really know what to think. On one hand I wanted to get rid of the stones and on the other, I don't want to lose my gallbladder. Though many websites suggested that a gallbladder don't serve much other than store bile for fat digestion, I'm sure God gave us a gallbladder to serve a purpose. Actually, my dad was born without a gallbladder and he survived till for over 60 years before finding that out!! So we could live without a gallbladder, our liver is so amazing that it can adapt to it. But still...
I am hoping to save my gallbladder so am currently trying to detox and see how it goes. Will post on this soon.
10 sharings:
eh my hub also once has stones in his gallblader and dr suggest doing surgery but then before the surgery he went and got a chinese med (from the med hall- forgot what name edi) and when he went back for check up, the stones all gone ed.
My mum also removed her gallbladder many years ago. I see she's alright wor.. but she found out early and when the dr took out the the stone, he said it nearly erupted. if erupted edi very dangerous. So you take care yeah..

Hmmm at least no sign of c.
I would say try the natural way first..ie detox...or some medication....surgery if only absolutely necessary. Take care ya and don't think too much
Hugs
try the natural way which is something like detox... my friend did it before and it worked!!
thank you all for the encouragement and success stories :-D
I had been pretty worried (naturally!!) and your comments had helped me feel much better... am still in my detox stage and will update when I have completed
Hi sting,
Regret to know about your ultrasound's result. My hubby had his gall-bladder removed last year. It was an emergency case, you can read it in the below link:

I heard about the detox too, but my hubby couldn't stand anymore.
I also suffer Osteopenia and have been taking Calcium tabs for years, but can't help to increase the level. Everytime I went for a free test in pharmacy, the result still showing no improvement. Maybe it is to maintain the level for not dropping further.
Take care.
Sting, take care! Pray with you this method works and you feel all better again real soon!
Try to save it first!! When a well known surgeon wanted to remove part of BBC's right kidney, we tried to save it. Thank God we did. After going thru a very complicated surgery and a complication resulting fr the surgery, part of her R kidney was saved from being cut away! So yes, do the detox and eat only healthy stuff now. Drink lots of water. Who knows, those stones will be flushed out naturally! All the best and God bless!
Hope the detox will get rid of the stones. For me, I'd avoid surgery, no matter how minor, if it's not an emergency. Take care!
