We were at the Big bad Wolf book fair today (Sunday). I was so excited. If there's one thing that I love most, it's books. Whether I have time to read them or not is totally irrelevant in this case. :-D
I was studying the map for the longest time trying picture the way there. Seemed easy enough if we were to take the North-South Highway. But hubby knew better. he took a "shortcut" and ended up at UPM (and not all the way to Kajang toll). At one point, I was telling hubby that we should have gone straight when he took a left turning towards UPM ie heading towards the campus. But turned out he was right and we didn't get lost. Hurray for hubby! I should not doubt his sense of direction *big grin*
We arrived at around 4pm, hoping that there were not that big a crowd but fat chance. It being a weekend and all. But I think some of the crowd had left especially the morning crowd because we were able to drive all the way up to the nearest parking lot to Hall A. All we need to do is walk up a slope and pass a couple of huge buildings and we were there. :-D
Once we got inside, there were so many people! Overheard someone saying that he didn't realise that so many Malaysians were readers. We started towards the children's side, working towards the other end where the cashiers were. Hubby offered to take care Kay while I took Zen over to the children's books. This little guy was happily picking up nice looking ones and telling me he wants this and that! Since they were around RM5-RM8 per book, I said yes and we ended up with 10 books for Zen and Kay. I wanted to look for nice picture encyclopedia type of books for them but was kinda difficult because there were quite a lot of people at that time. Meanwhile, hubby and I got some manga, cookbooks and fictions. We wanted to look for more books (rather I wanted to) but Kay was getting restless and hungry so we left.
We decided to take the complimentary bus service to go down the slope and boy, were the kids excited! It was their first trip on a bus! When it was time for us to get down from the bus, Zen was so disappointed that he threw a tantrum! hahahaha!
So it was a fruitful weekend and I have enough books to last me till next years' fair.... unless I can persuade hubby to drop by again next weekend before they end...

Good that Zen chose his own books. I brot my girl along but she was bz reading while following me ard. Looks like many ppl intend to go for 2nd (or more) round(s). hehehe
